SALAR DE UYUNI is a salt pan in South America. This area is covered with water during monsoon and it turns into world's largest natural mirror.With time water evaporates making it a salt pan.It has a 20 m deep layer of salt(over 9000 billion kg) and 70% of world's lithium reserves are found here.These minerals reflect sun's rays therefore it appears to be white.But when it rains this salty expanse turns into a mirror reflecting the whole sky.It is world's largest salt expanse 10,582 sq m.That's more than the state of Sikkim in India.It is so flat and extensive that it has no horizon.Photographers love this place for photography tricks.
