RACETRACK PLAYA

If you woke up one morning and found that all your things have moved,you be pretty spooked..........or mad at your mom,right ? Something similar goes on at Racetrack Playa,except there are no mothers doing the rounds there.It is a remote valley in California,USA,the racetrack is a playa - a flat desert basin where water has dried up.This place evokes  mystery because the stones on the playa move on their own ,sometimes in pairs whats more ,the stones even leave tracks behind !But here's the spookiest part-nobody has ever seen the stones move.Can you believe that ! The stones move in straight paths and even curvy ones.The stones that travel are

of all sizes -from stone that weigh less than half a kilo to stones that weigh 300 kg.One would think  that some bad hats at work..We can easily eliminate animals and humans because there are no foot tracks next to stone trails (Birds can't  do the heavy task).Secondly, earth quakes , as the cause were rules out because earthquakes and moving of stones don't match.So guess is that it is the work of winds but scientists proved that winds blew in opposite direction in which the stones moved.However there is no reason .........which leaves you free to come with your own theory
